A petulant child paints a tale,
Of a stubborn score or quiet quell.

When the ink of the ball rolls,
And all that was said is told,
What remains is to unfold.

Yet a dictum is memorable:
Seek him and thou shall satisfy,
Or crave and dwell within the lie.

The road of passion brings many pain,
Still, the eternal gain is worth the bait.
